In 1992 the founders of the American Rocket Belts Corporation Formed a partnership to determine the feasibility of constructing and commercially operating a Rocket Belt.
The Bell and Tyler designs and fabrication methods were examined with an eye towards incorporating modern materials and techniques. The resulting American Rocket Belts RB-1 design features reduced weight, improved durability, reduced maintenance and extended rocket engine life.
